ABOUT

My name is Zach Adams. I am a photographer and videographer specializing in music.

I began photographing at a young age with a small Kodak digital camera. I learned how to make a good composition from my grandfather, James Ferris, who was a professional photographer.

At a similar age, my love of music began with my father introducing me to Motown and the Beatles. This eventually ended in me getting my hands on Paranoid by Black Sabbath, which I blasted from my basement every day after middle school on my dad’s old (but good) stereo system.

Fast forward to college and I had started a classic rock cover band named Retrograde that is now writing original music. As for my photography at that time, I was shooting just about anything and everything I enjoyed, from cars to birds; except music. Once I realized I could merge my two biggest passions by photographing music, I knew I had found my calling.

Since then, I have had the opportunity to work with many great up and coming artists and help shape the beginning of their careers with photos that evoke a sense of synesthesia. I have also had the pleasure of photographing some artists live that I grew up listening to, which has been rewarding and inspiring.

Whether you play, write, or even just listen to music, I am excited to work with you on your next project. If there's music playing, anywhere in the world, consider me available for hire.
